Hi Brian,

Just curious- is the intent to edit and update the individual state posts as time permits? I'm just noticing that in some cases the numbers used are from the older posts for a given site, rather than their most recent numbers, like Ragged Mountain in VA. I realize there's a lot of material to go through- can we help by going through our most recent material and sending you the lists? And are they intended to represent historic RHIs or current? I see the Wissahickon RHI includes the historic maximums for trees that lost height or died.

I really appreciate that you're putting this all together in one place.

Erik,
I've been using historical heights in all cases. Yes, it's an awful lot to go through, but it's a labor of love. If anyone sees any discrepancies, please let me know and I'll update them.

Some measurers did not want their numbers to be used for the database on a different site several years ago. That's why I'm doing it for easy reference and comparison. The information is not intended to be posted on other sites without measurer's permission. I will likely put the measures' names om each site in the near future.
