Live Oaks in the Northland

Post by Larry Tucei » Wed May 23, 2018 7:58 am

NTS- An interesting concept. I hope they are successful but when the winters are severe Live Oaks will struggle in the Northland. I've been growing a White Pine from Wisconsin for 5 years now. I'll call it the Southern White Pine experiment. A friend of mine also has several Whites and so far his are doing well. I dug mine up in Southern Wis. and he purchased his. I looked at his and they are definitely White Pine. The Whites struggle with our high heat Climate. Maybe they will adapt only time will tell. Hey Bob- If the Whites are successful here I will start growing lots of them! https://www.yaleclimateconnections.org/ ... xperiment/ Larry
