Lasell Park, Scoharie, NY

On 12/26, I came across a nice town park in the Village of Scoharie, NY. Lasell Park sits on a bluff overlooking the village and contains a mix of stately white pines and hemlocks. Though many of the trees have an aged appearance, they're probably old second-growth. I measured just heights on a couple of the tallest-looking white pines and one hemlock, along with an eastern redcedar, which seems to be growing naturally:

The village of Scoharie also has a couple of very nice sycamores along Rt. 30 near the center of town, and the Scoharie Creek corridor looks to have been a great spot for sycamores and cottonwoods before the land was cleared, I'm assuming in the early to mid 18th century.
