An early Autumn expected.........

ENTS-

We've had a hot, dry summer here in N Ohio, with red maples, birches and tulips defoliating in a green state and tupelos changing color early. I'm looking forward to leaf drop, and more accurate height measurement. I hope to revisit and measure some locations which have proven to be "hot spots".

Steve,

I go to school in southern PA, same situation here. One small Tulip Tree on campus has shed more than half its crown. Even in my hometown up in Connecticut the trees are turning. Eerie stuff.

Over here in Oregon, its been a high 60's low 70s week, with one more just like it. Plenty of clouds and more rain than usual. Felt like autumn a week ago.
