Hi folks, I'm new here and found this site while trying to identify a large oak tree in my yard. I hoping to get some input from all the knowledgeable folks on this board. I wasn't sure which specific place to post my question and pictures, so perhaps someone could point me to the correct location.

Well, I actually posted it yesterday under..... General Discussion Forums ‹ Tree Species, Families and Identification, but it said that it would have to wait for moderator approval. Does it typically take this long for something to post? There were quite a few pictures.

Well, no porn--- just lots of pictures of an old oak tree, so leaves and acorns!

My post is now up there, so any help from the Oaksperts out there would be greatly appreciated!

New users are supposed to post under the Post Here First topic - that way they don't need moderation. Topics can easily be moved. I check the BBS usually a couple times a day for new user posts that need moderation and to clear out the spam posts in the moderation queue. For example I just ban hammered two spam posts and approved your original post. Sometimes I am busy and it takes longer to approve posts as I don't check as often. Others have the ability to moderate posts, but don't do so. Welcome to NTS! I look forward to hearing more from you!
