Postby Kapn.K » Thu May 27, 2010 9:10 pm

Good Evening ENTS. My name is Steve and I live in Central Florida. I'm a web server admin at the Space Center. I just stumbled upon ENTS and this forum, today. I've always enjoyed plants and trees as a hobby. I have a live oak that needs help(not sick, it is mighty). I will start a topic in the live oak section and explain. I just stopped in here, first, to say hello.
Steve.

Yes we do. I just recently moved to and old country club called Royal Oak. I tried replying to one of your questions and posting a new topic about my oak dilemma in the live oak project forum but they have to be approved by a mod. How long does that last? Is it a time thing or number of posts? I was just trying to keep things in their proper "area". I've been involved with many forums for about 15 years. All of them have different deals like these. I try to be respectful and pc. Thanks for the welcome, Larry.

Hello,

Once your initial post has been made, then you can post in most areas without moderation.  The science forums and some of the project forums are moderated for everyone to keep the focus of these forums and to eliminate some of the general chatter.  I check regularly and approve posts to these sections usually within a few hours.  You can post to the general discussion forum about anything and if it should be in a specific moderated topic, it can be moved to the correct forum later.

Steve,

Welcome aboard. We look forward to your participation. I see you've already made LOL's acquaintance. BTW, LOL stands for Live Oak larry. Please review what he has single-handedly done with the live oak. It is amazing.

Bob,

It can also stand for LOland Larry. That's what name we gave him at the Black Mountain ENTS gathering.
