Please Put The State's Name in Post Title

Post by edfrank » Sat Dec 28, 2013 10:52 am

Please list the location of the post, at least the state's name, in the topic title. That way when people are viewing it either as a newsfeed, or through the "Unread Topics" or "New Posts" sections people can tell where the site is located. It will make it easier for everyone when browsing the BBS.

NTS,

Ed's post is a good reminder for all of us, and notably myself, on maintaining better BBS discipline to make it easier for searches and quick identification of approximate locations. I usually deduce the state from the poster, especially if a frequent visitor to the BBS, but that doesn't work for those new to the BBS or when the poster goes off into other states.

An equally good suggestion, perhaps better, is for each poster to end with his/her name, or the name he/she wants to be known by in the communications. Some folks don't give any personal identification when communicating. That is their prerogative, but it does make responding awkward at times.
