Upcoming Sand Run MetroPark Trip (Akron, OH)

Post by Matt Markworth » Sat Nov 02, 2013 7:57 pm

I'm planning on heading up to Akron, OH on Saturday, Nov 16th and Steve has graciously agreed to show me around Sand Run MetroPark.

I'm excited to check out the forest up there and other NTS members are welcome to join us. Please let me know if you’re able to go and we can work out a time via email as it gets a little closer. If the weather is bad, then Nov 23rd is Plan B.

I wish I could make every NTS invitation but thank you for putting it out there. The measuring season is upon us and Steve definitely knows where the tall ones are. Can't wait to hear what you find. Just remember to take lots of photos. I have several trip reports from last year to report on yet and hopefully several more for this season. Good luck.

Matt, NTS-

Here are some photos from the November 2011 trip to Sand Run, with Rand Brown. The site has a Rucker 10 index of 137: http://treesdb.azurewebsites.net/Browse ... 40/Details
