Micrometeorologist — April 05, 2010 — Time-lapse movie of the breakup and pulsation of the Northern lights in Fairbanks, Alaska. Nikon D90, SIGMA 10mm F2.8 EX DC Fisheye HSM, 10mm, F/2.8, Manual, ISO3200, 1.6sec, Interval: 2sec. This movie is 10 fps and thus 20 times faster than actual.

Ed-
I suppose you're aware that this last year has been a low ebb in the solar phenomena that results in the aurora boriealis...a cyclic low even for Anchorage...our northern lights predictor in the daily newspaper used words like low, quiet, etc., unless one was in Fairbanks or points further north...

Latitudinally Yellowknife is midway between Anchorage and Fairbanks. This fall has promise!
