The Ancient Tree Hunt team is proud to announce that the 100,000th tree has been recorded. It is a majestic beech tree located in the National Trust's Ashridge Forest in the Chilterns. It measures 5.6 m around the trunk and is estimated to be around 200 years old. The tree is one of the finest beeches in the forest with particularly beautiful roots which spread down the ancient boundary mound on which it stands.
