When in Maryland and have time, seek this place out. The largest known tree in Maryland which is an American Sycamore is located there. The park is located along the Potomac River 20 or 30some miles upstream from Washington DC. There are many other large Sycamores, large Maples and other trees in the park. All the pictures that I took are near the river. There are thousands of Maple saplings growing along the river, of which the second picture shows. All that we saw is upriver from the path that comes from the parking area.
