Rick Brown, retired assistant chief ranger for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park has published a book detailing his experience for the past 30 years as a protections ranger.

"Ranger Up: True Stories of National Park Service Protection Rangers" sells for $16.95 and will soon be available at the Sugarlands and Oconaluftee visitor centers in the Smokies. Copies are currently available online at http://www.rickbrown-rangerup.com

Ed: Thanks for posting. Rick was a NPS ranger here in West Virginia for a number of years stationed at Glen Jean in New River Gorge National River headquarters.
