George,

These Black Oak heights really stand out. Do you think the mid-atlantic coastal plain uplands are perhaps the optimal growth habitat for this species? I'll be popping into Brandwine and surroundings in a couple weeks seeking some of those liDAR hits Michael processed- I see you noted some of the hits were actually in the First State National Monument. Are any of these tall black oaks in the same section? I'd love to see a 140' black oak. Let me know if there's a chance you might want to meet up there to measure some trees.

George,

You've really put southeastern PA and northern Delaware on the tall tree map. Can you bring us up to date on the RHI for each of the sites you measure, e.g. Ridley Creek, Fairmount Park, etc.? This general region may just be the most under-appreciated tall tree region in the entire East.

Erik,

Looking forward to what you find. Hope you can link up with George.
