Hermosa's Charms

Post by dbhguru » Wed Aug 04, 2010 5:05 pm

Here are two images of the Hermosa Creek area that Don, Lee, Randy, and I explored while on the WNTS rendezvous. Hermosa Creek is in the La Platas, a sub-range of the San Juans, which is a range of the Colorado Rockies. To my mind, Hermosa creek excels in gorgeous scenery that includes gorgeous ponderosa pines. They are literally everywhere. The first image looks toward the Animas River basin from the trail we were on.
Say you like pretty ponderosas? Feast your eyes on these beauties.
There's more to come. Lots more. I've got about 1,200 images to sort through.
