More Mobile Alabama Live Oaks

Post by Larry Tucei » Sun Jun 26, 2011 6:28 pm

Ents, I added three new trees to the Live Oak Listing, all from Mobile, now at 163 trees. One at Cottage Hill Rd, and the other two at Pinecrest Cemetery. I've been putting them in word format so its easier to transfer to differerent computers, etc. I've been looking through the Louisiana Live Oak Society listing lately and made my own listing of 20'+ CBH trees from it. Many of the registered Oaks are not real large like I've been doing. I also discover named trees that I have measured and adjust my Live Oak listing as necessary. The Louisiana listing contains 6500 Live Oaks. Many have not been updated for decades, many are deceased. I found the Pinecrest Oaks from this list and have hundreds more to check out! Most of the Oaks are in La., So many trees so little time! The following attachments. Larry

Ed, I hope you don't mind me posting like that. Perhaps I should not do it this way? I can copy the word format then add photos to it. It's just easy for me for compling everything in word. Larry

Larry,

It is fine. Some people cannot read the 2007 or newer Microsoft formats, so I upped the older format. Keep your data in the format you are using.
