NTS: In November of 2019 Susan and I spent several weeks I Peru mostly along the Coast and desert/semidesert areas farther from the coast.. I did get to measure a tree in the Araucaria genus. I don.t believe Peru has any native Araucarias but they are a fairly common planted tree. This one was found in St. Catherins Monastery in Arequipa. According to records of the monastery it was an Norfolk Island Pine (Araucaria heterophylla)) planted about 1850.
