Hi Turner,

Thanks for the submission! It gives me the opportunity to learn about a variety that I'm not familiar with.

Which dimension do you think it displays the growth potential for, probably girth?

Thanks,
Matt

Matt: I submitted the redbud for its spread. Although it has a decent girth it no way matches Jess's or Beth's examples,

It doesn't quite meet the bar set by the Boatwright redbud, but yesterday I documented a 1'7" x 55.5' Cercis canadensis in Fernbank Forest. They're all in full bloom right now so they stand out nicely. Also documented one at 2'1/2" x 51.8' redbud further up the hill. I love these "tiny giants". So fun to look for the tallest of the understory trees.

Eli,

Nice! Those are tall. I'd like to see Fernbank Forest some day.

Thanks for sharing!
Matt
