Southeast Louisiana Tree identification and reports

Post by DesignGreen » Fri Mar 17, 2017 10:01 am

I grew up in Lee's Landing, Ponchatoula, Louisiana, 1 hour north of new Orleans. I am home for a bit, but now live in Illinois. I am trying to identify trees and come up with a strategy for conservation management here.
We have long leaf Pines.s. magnolia, lots of water oak, live oak and other oak I'm trying to identify. Also sweet gum. And Maples I'm trying to id.
Trying to get rid of a lot of tallow.
We have upland and wetland.
If there's anyone in this area, I'd love to walkabout.
