Lidar Tree Height paper and methodology

Post by fooman » Wed Nov 21, 2018 3:57 pm

Hi All,

Came across this paper on doing a large scale analysis of regional Lidar data in order to correctly measure large tree heights: https://www.mdpi.com/1999-4907/9/11/702/htm

It looks as though they have put a bit of thought and effort into the down slope error issue with Lidar, even more of a problem with our local tree species with large spreading crowns.

Thought it may be of some interest to the Lidar enthusiasts here.

Cheers,
Matt
