Hello Gentlemen,
Just to follow-up on my tree cookie preservation posting:  I have treated a few samples with PEG and a few with Pentacryl as suggested.  Both have now been drying for almost 2 months, and except for faded colors and some white fuzzy mold, they have not cracked at all.  I will shortly sand a few down, then coat with polyurethane to bring up the original colors.  If all goes well, I will post a photo to give a “before & after” to your viewers.
Thanks again for the great advice.
Sincerely,
Jim Wright

Hello Ed,

Finally, attached is a copy of my finished tree cookie.  It was soaked in Pentacryl, then coated with polyurethane.  It is much darker than the one I soaked in PEG, but that on is in Switzerland and no photo available.

Could you please post this "after" photo to your web site.

Thanks for all your help.
Regards,
