A special welcome and thanks

WNTS,

   On behalf of Don Bertolette, Ed Frank, and myself, I want to welcome everyone to the Western Native Tree Society. This forum has been established as part of ENTS, the sister forum of WNTS. We hope to make WNTS active and productive. Participation is the key. We hope to have many active discussions in WNTS over the coming year. In the end, the success of the list will depend on interest and how well we appeal to it within the enormous geographical region covered by WNTS. I will have more to say about this in the near future. For now, it is just a simple welcome.

Thanks Bob, Ed for such a fine home for WNTS folks!
I'm hoping that this new BBS base for our forum ups the enthusiasm of our members and catches the eyes of new folks interested in advocating for our western native trees.  I would also like to mention our up and coming Second Annual WNTS Rendezvous, to be held in Durango, Colorado the last week in June (June 28-July1).  We're reserving a block of real reasonably priced rooms for those wishing to keep costs down, and for those needing more substantial accomodations, an abundance of lodging opportunities exist in the area...
