ENTS racks up 10,000 Spam emails to my gmail !! LOL

Oddly, I had to block the ENTS / Native Tree Society from my gmail completely, because a flood of Spam reminders started flooding in. I tried to log in at the forums here within the past couple weeks when it happened, but the pages looked wonkers with error messages, or many lines of code and script.

I thought the flood of emails was maybe a 100, which in itself would be a lot. But cleaning my folders this morning, there were over 10,000 emails from the ENTS side of things.

Some months ago, I put these ENTS forums on the back burner, because over a matter of weeks I couldn't log in or got errors. I thought maybe the forum went defunct. Then apparently logging in went normal again, where I could enjoy and read topics for weeks.

Then this remarkable flood of emails came in like a plague.

It's definitely been an unpredictable several months for the BBS. You are much more popular than I am with the spammers (I've only ever gotten one!) but I was having the same issue with the error messages- this only seemed to make the front page unusable, whereas if I searched subforums externally through google and entered the site that way it worked fine aside from a few odd lines of code above the header.

Oddly, the emails seem like they originated from the ENTS server.

Anyhow, it was an easy fix just to block the emails, because I generally log in here or other forums at random, rather than in response to reminders. I usually disable PM message relay from my email too.
