AF National Coordinator position

Post by dbhguru » Wed Mar 08, 2017 1:42 pm

Ents Members

The position of Urban Forests Programs Manager at American Forests is open to be filled. You can read about the position opening at:

It would be a Super Tree Bowl Sunday if an NTS or Cadre member took the position.

Interesting --- the work location and environment is practically the antithesis to what the organization gets involved with.

Mario

The national coordinator fills a position of Urban Forests Programs Manager. Most of the individual's time is spent in urban areas dealing with tree plantings, educational outreach, etc. Very little of the coordinator's time is spent visiting national champions and virtually no time measuring trees. When Sheri Shannon was coordinator, she was an exception. We're hoping the next coordinator will follow in her footsteps.

So you're saying the coordinator gets to go around the county a lot interacting and not just working 5 days a week in DC cubicle.

Yes, something like that. The actual amount of travel depends on the travel budget.
