Pike State Forest - Fort Hill BAD NEWS

Was recently in the Pike State Forest tract that's loaded with tall Lireodendron, adjacent to Fort Hill State Memorial. That tract is marked for a timber sale, and most of the biggest trees appear marked to be cut. Extremely depressing.

About a year ago, I noticed some oaks and black cherries marked. Did you notice any big tuliptrees marked? There are at least three 150'+ tuliptrees across the two tallest coves. Based on LiDAR and groundtruthing, I think these are the two most impressive coves in the part of Pike State Forest that is adjacent to Fort Hill:
