American Sycamore, 3rd Largest known tree in Ohio.

Seveal years ago a friend took me to this tree. We did a measurement of it at 130' tall, 25'5" CBH and average spread of 97'. Since that measure several branches have popped of but the main leader is still going strong. Last I have seen the area near the tree was buldozed clearing out the smaller sycamores and monser osage orange trees. I have not been in the area for 6 months I hope it's still stilling.

Landon,

I stopped by there a couple weeks ago after you mentioned it to me. It's definitely still standing.

Speaking of Osage Orange, if you haven't seen it there is an absolute monster (18.57' girth) at Miami University.

Matt
