First winter storm of the season today...

NTS-

We've had an exceptionally mild winter so far, and today is the first real blast of cold snowy weather----4'-5' on the ground now, with lake effect snow to follow after the front passes through.

~ 1" of accumulation here in Columbus (just enough to be ugly). Snow came in late yesterday afternoon after some blustery bursts of sleet. 18˚F this morning with blustery winds, you guys should get a nice a lake affect from this one.

Final all time record rain tallies for Ohio in 2011:
(I believe the average is 33"-35")
Cincinnati - 73.28"
Cleveland - 65.32"
Columbus - 54.96"

We had thunder & lightning and heavy rain after 1:00 am last night here in NW PA. Within a half an hour it changed to heavy snow. Probably about 3"-4" on the ground this morning.

It's crazy how warm/mild it's been this winter! I don't think it got below freezing over here in Indiana till January! :)
