Tallest Douglas Firs in America

Post by Larry Tucei » Tue Oct 01, 2013 4:18 pm

NTS- Found this awesome webpage while doing a little reading today. It is has some fantastic photos and information of what the Fir trees at Vancouver Island and many other locations were like many years ago. Enjoy! Too bad they cut almost all of these giants down. One photo is of Michael Taylor, Mario Vaiden and C. Atkins, also some of their great listings. Don't ever remember anyone posting on this webpage before. http://rephaim23.wordpress.com/2012/11/ ... n-america/ Larry

Seems kinda criminal to blow through an entire continent's worth of old growth forests in 200 years like there was no tomorrow.

Enjoy your stump fields grand-kiddies...

I actually posted this in february, under:

Board index ‹ Discussion Forums ‹ Trees and Forests - General Discussion Forums ‹ History and Historical Great Trees

Still, it's a really nice collection of photographs well worth posting.
