New Exploration in the Adirondacks

Post by dbhguru » Wed Oct 25, 2017 8:37 am

Hi Ents,

On Oct 31st the team of Erik Danielsen, Jared Lockwood, Bob Leverett, and Monica Leverett will join my son Rob in exploring an old growth site near Ampersand Mtn. Here are four images of what we'll be documenting. We wish Elijah could make it, but his schedule does not permit it. He'll join Rob later in November. Besides, we won't even make a dent in this new site on the 31st. Enough chatter. Let's see the beef.

This region holds great promise and its exploration in 2017 is testament to how invisible such places are to even forest lovers. Well, they don't remain invisible to NTS. Our true mission resurfaces.

Reports to come after our visit.

Nice photos. Shades of Cook Forest there.

Having spent over 50 years wandering the "dacks", I must admit those are pretty impressive... I look forward to hearing more about your finds...
Best wishes,
Bob
