Neil (Dr. Neil Pederson) now works at Harvard Forest in Petersham, MA. I've known him since 1993. He has been a rising star in the world of dendrochronology for years. On April 25th, Ray Asselin and I will visit with the Harvard Forest scientists to get their assistance on dating black birch cores we have taken on Mount Tom and hopefully to discuss a database project where both Neil's tree ages and our tree measurements would find a serious home. There is a chance that in the future, American Forests could be the home of NTS data. Lots of work to do.
