Don, I try to go as light as possible......sometimes I wish I had kept my aps-c set up as it was lighter. That said, I usually lug my 16-35 and 28-75 when on hikes. I keep my 70-300 at my campsite. Mr Vaden, I shoot with a super wide angle all the time. I use a 16-35 2.8 and love it. That said it was a very expensive lens but the 2.8 works great in low light situations like forest settings.
