Good question Randy. I know they grow in the understory the ones I saw. Not sure if the mass blow down will be good for them.
The website site most were not affected by the storm.

Hermosa Creek Trail re-opens

All- Hermosa Creek Trail re-opened April of 2018 but enter with extreme caution. Photos from the April article at the Durango Herald show the 416 Fire devastated the Forest and the trail looks eroded. Wow son of a BEECH what a what a great tree!
I agree with George the Crown must be at least 125-150' and the Circumference around 20'.
Just a guess but still a very impressive tree.
Live Oak in size.
