St. Louis City is now under a Blizzard Warning. Last night we got up 1/2" of ice mixed with sleet and snow. I thought Larches lost their leaves in the fall like bald cypresses. If this is so why wouldn't they turn color?

I have a question about ash trees...can an ash tree sprout from a cut stump? I had to have an ash tree (white?) cut down this spring because it was dying do to the increased about of dirt around the trunk as a part of final grading of my yard and now I have an ash tree growing from the stump. Bob, The Morton Aboretum is on the north side of the town where my bother lives, Lisle Illinois. Like someone said before it is west of Chicago, about 30 miles.
