Re: Georgia state champion Southern Live Oak

The tree that I posted pictures of is the tree on the Georgia big tree site. The picture that they have was taken at a different angle and probably was taken several or more years ago.

Midway cemetery, Midway, GA

This is another stop on our Florida trip. There were a few trees here that I had wanted to post about. To the left and to the right of the cemetery there is a big and tall pine tree. I don't know the variety. Maybe someone can identify them. In the cemetery, there is a huge live oak.

Georgia state champion Southern Live Oak

Here is another stop on our Florida trip. I had wanted to see this tree in the past, but we were not able to. I was glad that we finally got to see it. It is the most amazing and impressive tree that I have ever seen. You can't help but stand in awe of it. The trunk is huge and the spread covers a b...

the amazing Cellon Oak

My family and I traveled to Pensacola, Florida for my daughter's college graduation at the beginning of this month. While on the trip, I wanted to see some big trees and cemeteries along the way. We went to see the Cellon Oak, which is the Florida state champion Southern Live Oak. I had seen it befo...

Re: The big move to California, the trees I leave behind :(

I am sad to see you go. There are a lot of trees in New Jersey and the surrounding areas that I would not have known about and where they are if it were not for you. It is too bad that we did not get to formally meet.

Thank You,
Tom

That grape vine is amazing! I have never seen one anywhere near that big.

Re: Measuring the 8 greatest White Oaks of New Jersey

Wow, you finally got to the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Oak. As I have said before, that is my favorite oak in NJ. The state champion, the Warren Kinney and the Brooklake I have not seen. The Warren Kinney looks like one that I would really want to see.

Is that the Greenwich that is south west of Bridgeton? If so, my brother and I have seen a lot of the Sycamores in that area. I would love to see more.

Re: Ginkgo

There are 2 huge Ginkgo trees that I have seen in a cemetery in Lancaster, PA. But I don't where the pictures are for them right now.
