miniature golf beech tree

We went to Lancaster County, PA this week. This time out there, I wasn't really looking for any big trees. But If I see any, I take notice. Tuesday night we decided to play miniature golf. We went to one that is right on Route 30. While playing, I noticed a huge Beech, which I think is a European Co...

Re: one last visit to the great oak

Thank you John and the others for replying. John, we also saw the Warren Kinney oak while we were up there. In the past, if I had known about it and that it was that close, I would have gone to see it. Now that the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Oak is dying, the Warren Kinney is my favorite oak in New ...

one last visit to the great oak

Someone had posted a link to an article that the Basking Ridge Presbyterian oak was dying. I had been to see the great oak a few times. Since it was reported that it was dying, I wanted to see it one more time before it was gone forever. Yesterday my son and I went to see it. It was worse then I had...

I love Banyan trees. They are cool. I have seen 3 in Florida, but I have never seen that one.

Thank you, Larry. I don't know much about Willows, but I figured that it must be some type of Willow.

just a question in NC

Last month, my wife and I went to the outer banks for our anniversary. I was curious. Has anybody done any tree hunting or measuring in the outer banks.

a tree that I am not sure of

This nice looking tree is in Port Republic. I think it might be some kind of Willow. Does anybody know exactly what it is?

Re: Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn

Another of the many cemeteries that I would love to check out. I love old cemeteries, but there is something extra special about ones with big trees.

Re: Virginia Champion White Oak

My brother and I saw that tree a few years ago. Unfortunately we could only see it from the road. I would have loved to have been able to walk up to it. Here are a couple of my pictures of it.

Re: The Hangman's Elm, Manhattan

My family and I were there to see that tree a few years ago. I had heard about it and as I like to see big trees, I decided that we would stop on the way to see some other things.
