Good work guys! And there are more out there! I remember reading in "A Walking Guide to Oregon's Ancient Forest" by Wendell Wood that the Tall Trees Trail on the Willamette NF near Lowell, OR, had dougs 270 to 310' tall (if I remember correctly). No idea where they got those numbers or in what shape...

Hmmmm....... Maybe that is why I like it so much.... the Cape Meares spruce that is.... Great tree. I was up there earlier this year on a lovely rainy day. I need to make it out to that big redcedar at Rockaway which I have never seen.

Hi Marc, Heading west from Portland on Hwy. 26 you could visit the Klootchy Creek spruce near the coast at Klootchy Creek (County) Park.
